Lava Mobiles will now launch new smartphones at its event on 7 January. The event will start at 12 noon. And will be live-streaming on Lava’s YouTube channel. The company is using the #ProudlyIndian hashtag on Twitter to suggest that Lava will launch the Fons made in India and take advantage of the squabble with China last month.
It has also been written in the official tweet that these phones will change the game but no specs have been revealed about them yet. However, in a recent report of 91mobiles, some important information was revealed about the upcoming phone launch of Lava in January. The report revealed that Lava will launch four smartphones at the January 7 event. These smartphones will come between Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000. The hardware or features of these phones are not known yet, but the most special thing about them will be that they will be made in India. Lava will launch phones made in India, following Micromax, to compete with companies like Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo etc.
Lava new launch will be Made in India
Recall, Micromax’s first smartphone was also not a complete Made in India phone, due to which the supply-chain had problems. The company used the Made in China battery in the In Note 1 smartphone and this smartphone was marketed as the Made in India handset. Due to the delay in certification required for batteries made in India, the company had to use components made in China.
Talking about lava, the company has tried several times in the last five years to return to the Indian smartphone market. Recently, the company has launched the Be U smartphone, which is specially designed keeping women in mind. In July, the company launched the Lava Z61 Pro smartphone. Apart from this, the company has also launched the Z61 budget phone in August.
